Hi everyone! (。´∀`)ノ Lately I can't dedicate time to the blog, I'm so sad! But I really wanted to write something, so here's a very basic tutorial which I found it in my drafts some days ago... I totally forgot about it (;-_-)/

TO DO: Brush your wig with a wide tooth comb, even better if it's in metal! This will help because after all, wigs are made of plastic fibers.
AVOID: Paddle hair brushes or radial/round hair brushes should be avoided; they only break the fibers and pull out the hairs.
TO DO: It's better to wash your wig when it arrives, and also after 5/7 times you wore it.
AVOID: Don't leave your wig in a sack for months, take care of it and wash it before you wear it again ❤ You can check my tutorial here!

TO DO: Start brushing your wig from the bottom to get out any tangles. Do it carefully, because I'm sure you don't want to pull out the fibers!
AVOID: Don't brush your wig while wet. This will only ruin it!

TO DO: If you brush a curly wig, try to do it with a veeery wide tooth comb, then reform the curls with your fingers. I never had problems with kanekalon wigs, but if your curls are still undefined, the only solution is to reform them with hot water.
AVOID: If you don't need a voluminous wig, spend some time to recreate the curls of your wig. If you just brush it you'll only make more volume between the fibers.

TO DO: Cut a wig with proper scissors and don't be hurried. You'll need a fake head to cut the major part of the hair and then you'll be able to ajust the style wearing the wig (for instance the lenght of a bangs!)
AVOID: Don't use only "normal" scissors if you can. If you thin out a little the bangs it will surely look more natural. That's because wig's fiber are usually thicker than normal hair... It may depends on personal tastes, but I don't like when the edges are full of hair!
..That's all! Please keep in mind that this tutorial is based on my personal experience, so these aren't rules, and my methods may be different from yours. I'll be surely glad to read your comments if you have something to add!

Lucca Comics and Games 2014

Hi everyone! I can finally write something about this edition of Lucca Comics and Games... Well, It has been "different" and to be honest I didn't enjoyed it completely xD I know, this isn't the best way to start a blog entry! (/•ิ _•ิ)/
On thursday I had some problems with the house and all my luggages... Then, the first things that I noticed was the crowd. It was really crazy, a super large number of people came to visit the convention! I'm happy to know that one of my favourite con became this popular, but on the other side this gave me too many problems... (๑¯д¯๑) Visiting with calm the stands on Saturday was like an utopia, all those people didn't go along with my low pressure problem xD
Luckily I've been able to met some friends and have a great time with them ✧
Then let's talk about sunday. I wore my armor just ten minutes before the competition and that was enough to make me feel sick (´;Д;`) I'm so sorry... For my group in particular! I was really looking forward to wear my cosplay, and in the end I was able to wear Zelcher's armor only for a short time...
But thanks to flashgordon I have at least a photo with them! ( ´∀`) (we were divided in two groups because of the lack of space, that's why some character are missing). I edited a the lights because the original photo was really too yellow >__<
I have nothing else to say! To me, this edition passed extremely fast... I'm a little sad (T⌓T)
Now it's time to work on Shichika's costume! FIGHT-OOOO (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Zelcher - Fire Emblem WIP III {tailoring}

Lucca is really near, and I don't have enough time to update properly the blog! I'll just publish some photos without any particular description... I still have to finish my armor and Libra's costume! (; ̄д ̄)Time goes by so fastly...(πーπ)
Anyway I'm happy with the fabric I found: it has the same pattern as the original! But since it's not very dark, no one will notice it. Meh.

Sorry for being so short and vague, I hope you'll appreciate this small update anyway

Zelcher - Fire Emblem WIP II {Bust armor, kneepads & more}

Here's the second post dedicated to my Zelcher costume! I was a little sad in these days because I had some problems with the armor and other stuff... And you know, things like self esteem and confidence was almost gone to another planet! (」゜ロ゜)」 But now I'm fine (I have to thanks all the people who were worried about my mood and tried to cheer me up ❤), so I'm here to show you my progress!

It took me so long to make a decent paper pattern for this piece... If you know me a little, you can immagine how hard it has been for me, I hate to make patterns! (´・` )Moreover the first attempt was a complete fail ahah the shape was more disproportionate compared to this one and some details turned out really badly. I also applied the spry stucco, which made a terrible reaction with the foam. NEVER EVER USE IT. My armor began to shrivel up, and that's how it got ruined... But the new one looks pretty good to me! Now I need to apply the color (●´∀`)ノ

These were the pieces that scared me the most, but in the end I found them really easy to make! I was surprised... In the photos I forgot to include the wings, so I'll show them when I'll color the kneepads. I think that this part of the armor is the most similar to the reference images, yay! °˖ ✧◝(○ ヮ ○)◜✧˖ °

And this is only a random photo to show the easiest parts of Zelcher's cosplay... (。・・。) Now I'll focus on the shoes and the leg armor! Then I'll make the last details for the hips and the pauldrons... I want to dedicate an entire post to the weapon, because it will be like a mini tutorial! (* >ω<) The 5th and last post will be about the coloring, hope I won't ruin anything! Σ(‘◉⌓◉’)

Zelcher - Fire Emblem WIP {Bracelets and Collar}

As I announced a while ago, I'm working on a new cosplay: Zelcher from Fire Emblem! O(≧∇≦)O It's my second favourite character after Tharja, and her cosplay is quite challenging! That's why I like it after all... I never made a full armor cosplay, so I'm very excited about this new costume. I decided to make the bracelets and the collar with craft foam, basically because I had some unusued sheets and I wanted to try it.
This is the bracelet before the application of the vinilic glue. As you can see it was still quite porous, but with the glue it became smooooth and cute ♪ (...cute..?) I didn't add the straps because I think it's better to colour them before that. Anyway I'm happy with their shape, it looks at least acceptable and accutare compared to the reference image! The details weren't clear, not even from the artbook pages... So I had to arrange something that looked coherent. However, I added something very simple.

This was the most difficult part, I had torubles making the pattern! In this case too, the reference scans weren't that clear... Or better, what I saw was actually a drawing without a precise 3d shape. In this case too I made my best to recreate this piece as accurate as possible, but some alterations were required (`^´)ノ I used the iron wire to fix some parts, for instance to keep the "wings" firm. This will be a looong work, though... I made the pattern for the breast piece, but I'll show the photos in the next post! ٩(●˙▿˙●)۶
Bye bye!

{TUTORIAL} How to wash a wig

Hi everyone! As I announced on my Facebook page some days ago, I'd like to make various tutorials for you! (◞ꈍ∇ꈍ)◞ I want to start with something really easy, but still important! I'm talking about washing a wig, something that not every cosplayer considers as necessary, unfortunately!

Why should you wash a wig?
Obviously because you wear it, you sweat and your wig may become dirt for some reasons! Moreover some wigs don't really smell good when they reach your home... This because they stay closed in a plastic bag all the time.

When should I wash a wig?
It obviously depends on how often you wear it! But here's my "cleaning routine": I wash the wig when it arrives, then some days after a convention (it depends on when I have time) if I wore it for more than a couple of hours... Or actually if I see that it's dirty xD And if I want to use a wig which have been closed in a box for more than 3/4 month, I gave it a bath before wearing it again

Washing wigs ruins them?
We can apply the same thinking that we use for clothes: yes, washing a wig can ruin it, but it depends on various things. The first one is the quality; if your wig has good fibers, it will last more than a super cheap one. Secondly the "life" of your wig will also depend on how do you wash it! That's why I wrote this tutorial! ( ꒪౪꒪)ฅ✧
Let's start!

Point 1 - Preparation!
I don't like to wash my wigs in the shower (even if you can do it), because the fibers becomes really heavy while wet! I find the bath tub a better place to do this process. So I almost fill up my tub with cold water (it's very important! Never use hot water!).
Point 2 - Immersion!
Then just immerge you wig carefully. I pull it to the bottom and then I left it there for a few minutes (in the meantime I prepare the things I need, just like the shampoo, the towel...). Now it's time to clean our wig! I chose a baby shampoo, basically because it's very liquid and I use a minor quantity of product compared to the others. I don't really know if in some shampoos there are ingredients that can ruin your wig, but I don't think that there's something really relevant. If you know more about this topic, let me know with a comment! I'll be glad to add some informations to the tutorial.
Point 3 - Wash it!
Basically there's no rule on how you should start to wash your wig, so I'll just explain what I do: I start from the top of my wig, rubbing gently. I focus on the inner part of the wig, because it's the part which touches my head! Then I lay the wig and I proceed with the rest. I clean the fibers moving my hands just as I wanted to warm them up (I don't know if I'm really clear here...). Basically I have the wig between my hands and I move them to create the suds. Then I lay it again in the water to clean it a little and lastly I rinse off the shampoo.
Point 4 - Wait!
Now your wig need to get dry! Spread a towel and then put there your wig. If it's long, it's important to avoid making curves with the fibers... The risk is that once dried, your wig will have more or less that shape, so it won't be straight. If you think that the time to brush it has come, stop! You have to wait if you don't want to ruin it (ᅌᴗᅌ* ) This wig took to days to get dry, I also change its position three or four times and the towel as well (the first one was really wet).

I didn't use the conditioner on purpose, my wig was in great conditions so it wasn't necessary. If you liked this tutorial, I'll go on with another one dedicated to tangled wigs in the future! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

It's all for now, I hope you like my entry and that it will be useful! Byee ✧˖ °

Rimini Comix 2014

(*´・v・)/  Here we go with my entry about Rimini Comix! It's the second time I attend this convention (you can read my first report here) and this year I wore two cosplay: Rikku festivalist and Black Hanekawa! The weather was really too hot, so I visit the stands in plain clothes ⸜(രᴗര๑)
I got changed around 5/6 p.m. that's also why I don't have so many photos with my two costumes!
To be honest, the thing I enjoyed the most has been the company: On sunday I finally met Gloria "Sweet Angel" and her boyfriend Antonio, plus I get acquainted with the super sweet Annachiara "Itsuki-chan" (*≧▽≦) I enjoyed so much the time spent together! (even if it has been too short...)

New photos and cosplay for sale!

Hi! This will be a super short post, I just wanted to share with you my new Misaki's photos! I made this costume two years ago... So many things have changed! My make up style, my choice of lenses, my way of posing... I think that I improved a little, after all  xD
But the main news of this post is that this cosplay is on sale! I like this uniform so much, but I won't be able to wear it again so... I don't want to leave it in my closet! ;__; If you're intrested please write me a message on facebook! I can ship worldwide
